Oh yeah?! Obama, let me set you straight!
I just shook my head at his stupidity last night when NObama spoke of how we have "lost the respect of the world under George W. Bush", or words to that effect. I actually also yelled a couple expletives at him on the TV, because he ticked me off. I'll confess it, it's true, I can have the potty mouth thing going once in awhile, and I felt better after I did it.
I have been blessed in that my life's journey has included spending 17 years of my life living in Europe- part of my childhood in Switzerland and then 10 1/2 years as a civillian nurse for the Army in Frankfurt, Germany from 1982-1992.
Many young people in Germany, and the world-over, feel a "hatred" for America, as do many, if not all, of the Obama-maniacs here in the US of A.. It comes from the anti-American programming of young minds by liberal, biased teachers and is subsequently reinforced by the equally biased media that feeds their version of "reality" to the masses. The media, the celebs and Obama, would have us believe that ALL Europeans hate us and no longer respect us, as they always had before. That somehow Bush has caused the world to hate us, whaaaaah.... whaaaaaaa.... waaah!!! How terrible and sad, they don't like us anymoo--oo--ore...sob, sob, whine!!!! What a deluded lie that is!
This "hatred" of America, this alleged loss of feelings of respect by the "sophisticated and enlightened" Europeans towards the United States, as is claimed to be fact by our elitist Democrat politicians, the media, the oh-so-smug" intellectually" aware University professors, and the celebrities like Madonna and pals- (who have so maaaaany stickers in THEIR passports, which just proves how smart THEY are), etc...etc.... is in fact NOT new!!! I believe there has been resentment coming our way from Left-leaning, elitists in Europe since our founding, when we kicked them, our oppressors, back to Europe and the founding fathers created our brilliant Constitution and Bill of Rights. NEWS FLASH,-( I love that Palin'ism!!)- Madonna and George Clooney, NObama and pals- Bush didn't cause the Europeans who have sooooo.. adored and sooooo...... respected us to stop doing so, you fools!!!! They never liked or respected us to begin with!! There has always been a Charlie Gibson-like elitist snob group looking down over their noses with disdain at that upstart land of gun-toting, Bible-thumping hicks in America, since our founding. It's a foppish European snobbery of the anemic elite of Europe, shared with their fellow fops in the USA. Bush did NOT cause it!!!
To add support to this argument, I will share a tad of my experience living in Germany. Back in the 1980's, when I was there, there was a palpable LOATHING of America, and Americans in gerneral, by young leftist Germans, the "intellectuals"- the University students, and much anti-Reagan rhetoric in the press, as well as Anti-American demonstrations took place. The terrorist cell offshoots of the German Baader- Meinhoff gang, were trying to kill Americans by putting car bombs at our Kasernes and trying to blow up US military installations in Germany . They did succeed in murdering and injuring Americans. I personally cared for 2 soldiers who survived separate attempts on their lives by terrorists who had placed fire-extinguisher bombs under the front seats of their cars during the night, with the detonator button placed under the sheepskin seat cover. When the soldiers sat down on the seat and started to swing their legs into the cars, the bombs exploded. Thank God they were both blown clear of their cars by the blast. They sustained ruptured eardrums and some shrapnel wounds to the backs of their thighs, but that was all. A miracle in both cases! The media and the left HATED Ronald Reagan back then, just as they HATE George W. Bush today. They LOATHED America, just as they do today. They were Reagan-bashing then, they are Bush-bashing now and they will McCain-bash after he wins. They only pretend to "like" us when we have a leader who has leftist/socialist leanings like they do. Then the "bashing" gets put to rest for awhile. These "hubris" filled fops, (to quote a word Charlie Gibson likes so much, when peering down his nose in disdain), do NOT represent the feelings of the majority of Europeans, the harworking "normal" people, just as the socialistic left- wing politicians and celebs, and their biased media's viewpoint is not the one held by mainstream Americans.
So, NObama, the Europeans and the rest of the world have lost their love and feelings of respect for us? How can they have lost something they never had to start with? Could you answer me that one? And, furthermore...why don't you ask us gun-totin, Bible-thumpin rubes if we even care?
