Per Little Green Footballs: Looks like Joe “Nostradamus” Biden’s prediction of an international crisis if Obama is elected may come true even sooner than he thought: Top Iran officials recommend preemptive strike against Israel.

Senior Tehran officials are recommending a preemptive strike against Israel to prevent an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear reactors, a senior Islamic Republic official told foreign diplomats two weeks ago in London.

Hmmmm. DNC VP Candidate Joe Biden must have gotten the debrief from US Intelligence and had to spill out the goods b/c it is going to be disasterous for Obama and he truly believes like before McCain is the better candidate.

IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll: Day Ten

Contrary to other polls, some of which show Obama ahead by double digits, the IBD/TIPP Poll shows a sudden tightening of Obama's lead to 3.7 from 6.0. McCain has picked up 3 points in the West and with independents, married women and those with some college. He's also gaining momentum in the suburbs, where he's gone from dead even a week ago to a 20-point lead. Obama padded gains in urban areas and with lower-class households, but he slipped 4 points with parents.

CBS EARLY SHOW co-anchor Harry Smith conducted an exclusive interview with Sen. Barack Obama earlier today in Richmond, Va. Among other topics, the senator told Smith why it’s so important for him to take a break from his campaign to see his grandmother. “My grandmother's the last one left,” Obama told Smith. The senator added, “She has really been the rock of the family, the foundation of the family.” Obama didn’t get to his mother before she died. “Yeah, got there too late,” he says. “You know, I mean, it was sort of like this, in the sense that she had a terminal illness. We knew she wasn't doing well, but you know, the diagnosis was such that we thought we had a little more time and we didn't. And so I want to make sure that I don't make the same mistake twice.”

Great news on the polls!

About his Grandmother....As an RN I have cared for many elderly patients at/or near the end of their lives. It is always so sad to see them lying there all alone and unvisited by their busy offspring. My question, if Obama loves his white Grandmother sooo... much, why has she been living all alone in Hawaii, rarely visited by Obama? Why was this elderly woman, who sacrificed so much to send her beloved grandson to a private prep school, not living in Chicago where she could be included in his family? I imagine she has been quite lonely. She is in her 80's, and at that age one has often lost most of one's friends. She has no other living family that I am aware of. I think his "white" grandmother is someone he has wanted out of the public eye, because it shines a light on his ancestral heritage which is 50% Caucasian, 25% or so African and the rest of Arab slave trader descent. We sure don't see anything written in the mainstream press about his slave-trader ancestors do we? He has made this election about race, about his "blackness" and has 95% of the racist black vote. Little old white Grandma doesn't really fit the image he wants to project. If he loves her so, why was she all alone in the hospital last week, unvisited by her loving grandson? I don't believe Obama has much depth of heart, or possibly even the ability to love deeply, unless it serves his purpose.
I believe Obama is a racist malignant narcissist with sociopathic traits who uses hypnosis in his speeches to manipulate and sway his audiences into a worshipful, leg-tingling, swooning stupor. They come away ecstatic, in love, worshipful. They cannot tell you what he actually said in his long-winded speeches, but they just KNOW he is THE ONE!!! Obama has manipulated and hypnotized a huge percentage of the people in our country, much as Hitler did in his day, helped along by the Goebbelesque propaganda media. He is attempting a coup of our country.

No one wishes bad things on falks, but this is fishy especially when she was in the hospital 2 weeks ago.

Barack’s Contrived Hawaii Trip

Talk about bamboozling the public, the Obama campaign has trotted out the ultimate PR propaganda designed to persuade America that Barack Obama is a regular guy who cares about his grandmother. Oh, did I mention she is white and from Kansas? I mean, who doesn’t love their granny? Dorthy and Toto were from Kansas. You just don’t get more American than that. Let’s just remind everyone that Barack is a man grieving for his mama grandma.

The storyline being fed to (and swallowed by) most of the public is that Granny Dunham, Obama’s defacto mama, has taken a turn for the worse and is humming Bob Dylan’s, “Knock, Knock, Knocking at Heaven’s Door.” Demonstrating that politics are secondary when it comes to family, Barack will dash off to Hawaii today and sit by her side. Sort of a pre-shiv’ah ritual bereavement. He does not care whether this puts his campaign at risk. He’s above politics. It is Grandma for gods sake!!

If you have finished hurling into your air sickness bag, here’s what is really going on.

Remember Barack’s August vacation? Yeah, he cared so much about Granny that he saw her only for an hour and did not take Michelle and the girls to visit the woman who he credits with helping raise him. Pretty odd behavior.

This trip is part of a scripted campaign event. It is a sign that the Obama team are so confident their boy has the election in the bag, that they are stepping up efforts to solidify Barack’s image as a regular, mainstream Joe. Hence the visit to Granny in a time of need. Now Grandma Dunham is an elderly woman and is coming off of a broken hip. From the sound of it she is a feisty old gal and no more in peril of keeling over than any other 86 year old woman. Check out this CBS story, which is based on a interview with Barack’s great uncle and his granny’s brother:

Payne, who is Obama’s great-uncle, said his sister was hospitalized briefly but is back home in her Honolulu apartment, where Obama’s sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, cares for her. Obama plans to suspend campaigning later this week to visit his grandmother, and Payne is planning to fly there for her 86th birthday, which is Sunday.

Payne, 83, said he spoke to his sister briefly on Monday.

“We had a short and as upbeat as possible conversation,” said Payne, a retired university library administrator. “She hated the hospital.”

She’s got the normal problems of an aging body but, with plans for the birthday party, it does not sound like a wake is imminent. Let’s face it, if Granny Dunham was departing this mortal coil (and let’s face it, she is an old lady and will die at some point) wouldn’t the whole family go? Shouldn’t Barack’s daughters get a chance to say good bye to Great Grandma Dunham.
